Smart_pH: Universal pH Estimation via Artificial Neural Networks

Smart_pH is a smartphone-based colorimetric analysis system powered by Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for fast, accurate, and universal estimation of pH values from indicator strips. The app integrates image processing, machine learning, and a multi-source dataset to ensure robust predictions under diverse lighting and camera conditions.

Quick Guide: How to Use Smart_pH

Step 1
1. Capture or Upload Image

Open the app and either take a photo of your pH indicator strip using your camera or upload an existing image from your gallery.

Step 2
2. Adjust Color Boxes

Manually drag and position the four color selection boxes to align precisely with your indicator blocks for accurate RGB extraction.

Step 3
3. Predict pH Value

Press “Predict” to analyze the colors via the trained ANN model. The predicted pH value will be displayed with a confidence indicator.
